Malachi Bontrager, a Financial Advisor here at LD&B, recently completed the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Leadership Harrisonburg-Rockingham program. The nearly year-long program brings aspiring leaders of the community together once a month to educate them about the community’s past, present, and future.
Malachi said the program and his experience, “I had a great experience with the HR Chamber Leadership Program. Not only did I learn more about non-profits and organizations in our area, I also formed great relationships with other young leaders in our town. Our class project worked to serve community members in our ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population. We set up a pop-up professional clothing boutique event! I appreciate all of the great people in the program, and the folks at the Chamber for making it happen!”
